Junk Drawer Overhaul

Keeping the junk drawer organized is a never-ending battle. I've accepted this. But about twice a year I empty the whole thing and start over. It usually happens after some object gets shoved so far in the back that it won't open or close properly. When I'm finished, only 1/4 of the contents of this drawer actually stay in the drawer. So the biggest pain in the neck is distributing the random "stuff" to its' proper home. 

Ready for a quick before & after?

 I found this set of drawer trays at TJ Maxx for $6.99. Here's what I love: they are the perfect size to fit on top of the inner sides of the drawer, which leaves space beneath for scrap paper, grocery list, etc. That was a lucky find.

The hardest thing about cleaning out the junk drawer is finding the motivation, but it's the perfect, easy, January New Year kind-of-thing to do.
